5 Interview Questions for Hiring Great Product Managers

5.  What was your biggest professional failure? What did you learn from it?

The toughest question and yet, a good showcase to anyone’s ability to admit to a failure and secondly the ability to learn the relevant lessons and move on.

Hiring a great product manager will surely assist you in building a great product that will drive revenue. On the other hand, hiring a bad PM and empowering him/her is one of the worst things you can do to your company. Good luck with your new hires.

Nice post. I would add one more: What was your most successful product? You want to hear specifically what made the product successful: revenue, marketshare, on time and under budget launch, awards, positive customer feedback and other measurable results that the the candidate was directly responsible for.
